DYNAMOS captain Emmanuel Jalai risked a lot following his Facebook post in the wake of their 0-2 loss to Herentals at Rufaro on Saturday.
In his post, Jalai said: “The Badge Deserves Better.”
It was their seventh loss in 18 attempts and this leaves them rooted at the bottom of the table.
Jalai is on the road to recovery as he is still nursing an injury he sustained three weeks ago.
His post has been interpreted in several ways by different experts as they tried to comprehend his message.
But many have agreed that Jalai is just expressing his displeasure over how the club owner, Bernard Marriot, has turned the most successful team in Zimbabwe into a sick joke.
Others have also agreed that his message speaks volumes about the trauma that is destroying the spirit of Dynamos players and fans.
At this point of the season, a confession that one drove his bicycle to Hwange and arrived on the same day is more believable than someone arguing that DeMbare will not be swept away by relegation waters.
The Castle Lager Premiership log table does not lie and it is saying DeMbare are just a place above the basement club with just 15 games to go.
But, for some strange reason, the Glamour Boys coach, Saul Chaminuka, appears to be seeing what no one else can believe.
Chaminuka said it was too early to conclude that Dynamos will collapse this season.
But, he has also clearly forgotten that his troops have won just twice in this campaign.
Forty points have been a realistic target for the teams that have dodged relegation in recents seasons.
And, DeMbare are 25 points away from that mark.
“We will survive,” he said.
“It’s a tough one to swallow, but that’s football. It’s not like we didn’t play football, at least, the window period is open.
“We need to get one or two experienced players to boost our strikeforce.”
However, it was a day to remember for Tino Benza and his father, Innocent.
Tino struck the first goal and an own goal by Shadreck Nyahwa sealed their victory against the lifeless giants.
The Students coach, Paul Benza, was a happy man.
“We had failed to score goals in our last matches,” he said.
“All we needed was somewhere to start from and I’m happy with the win and this revives our targets of doing better than last season.”

What position does Bernard Marriot play in the Dynamos team? Is there any game Dynamos fielded an incomplete team because of Bernard Marriot? While I am not saying the administration of Dynamos is perfect, the team fields a complete team every time and as far as I know and having been a former football player myself, once a team trots onto the field players play to win games. They don’t stop and think what Bernard Marriot is doing. Why don’t we just face the fact that Dynamos has poor quality players and coaching staff, period!
