CELEBRATED entrepreneurs Dr Solomon Guramatunhu and Dr Sacrifice Chirisa will headline the next edition of the Venon Chamba Seminars, scheduled for April 13, 2026.

Hosted by Pastor Venon Chamba, a renowned business mentor and motivational speaker, the seminars aim to inspire entrepreneurs and help them build the mindset needed for successful business ventures.

The event, which will be held at the traditional Batanai Gardens under the theme “Individual Empowerment”, seeks to equip emerging entrepreneurs and business executives with practical skills for running enterprises.

Centred on individual empowerment and personal growth, the seminar is set to attract a wide range of entrepreneurs, professionals and aspiring leaders looking to sharpen their skills and access new opportunities.

The two guests are expected to share their experiences and perspectives on navigating challenges, building resilience and identifying growth opportunities, particularly in the context of Zimbabwe’s evolving economic landscape.

Dr Solomon Guramatunhu is a renowned Zimbabwean ophthalmologist, philanthropist and entrepreneur recognised for transforming eye care in Africa.

He founded leading institutions like Greenwood Park Eye Clinic, specialises in cataract surgery and has received the Zimbabwe Medical Awards Lifetime Achievement award for his contributions to eye health.

Meanwhile, Dr Sacrifice Madenyika Chirisa is a prominent psychiatrist, medical doctor, business strategist and senior pastor with Wisdom City Ministries International.

Based in Harare, he is a widely recognised voice on mental health, corporate governance and entrepreneurship, offering expertise in both healthcare and leadership development.

Acclaimed broadcaster, Mr Tichafa Matambanadzo, who is widely known as “Tich Mataz”, will be the moderator at the event, bringing together a strong panel of influential voices in business, leadership and social development circles.

Tich Mataz rose to prominence as a disc jockey, television personality and master of ceremonies, and is now an established businessman and entrepreneur.

The convener of the event, Pastor Chamba, said the seminar is designed to equip participants with practical insights on self-leadership, innovation and economic empowerment in an increasingly competitive environment.

“This coming April, we will host distinguished entrepreneurs who have excelled in their respective industries.

“They will share their journeys and insights to inspire entrepreneurs, particularly young and ambitious individuals, while promoting business knowledge and supporting efforts to improve financial outcomes through enterprise,” said Pastor Chamba.

He added that previous editions of the seminars have received positive feedback.

“We have been receiving positive feedback; some of the attendees from the past seminars have since formalised their businesses, while others have initiated ventures that are now performing successfully, largely attributed to the impact of these meetings,” he said.

The Venon Chamba Seminars have grown in popularity in recent years, positioning themselves as a key platform for knowledge sharing, networking and inspiration.

The upcoming edition is expected to build on this momentum, with organisers promising an engaging and impactful programme.

Pastor Chamba said he intends to continue hosting prominent business figures later this year.

He emphasised the critical role of budding entrepreneurs in driving economic growth through innovation and fresh perspectives.

Pastor Chamba also expressed confidence in the potential of young people to become global leaders, stressing the need to create sustainable pathways that integrate faith, protection, and wealth creation for emerging entrepreneurs.

The Venon Chamba Seminars, which began in 2024, have grown rapidly to attract a large audience.

Previous editions have featured notable guest entrepreneurs such as Mr Kenneth Sharpe, Mr Chamu Chiwanza, Mr Nigel Chanakira, Mr Mudiwa Hood, Mr Andy Hodges and Mr Supa Mandiwanzira.
