ZIM dancehall artist, Enzo Ishall, says he appreciates gospel stalwarts like Baba Charles Charamba, Janet Manyowa and Minister Michael Mahendere.
He says the trio shaped the careers of several artists in Zimbabwe.
He opened up in a social media post where he appeared to be asking the trio for their blessings.
“Baba Charles Charamba, Janet Manyowa and Minister M Mahendere, I really need your approval,” reads the post on Instagram.
Many of his fans had assumed he was working on a gospel song after he recently released a fusion of amapiano and jiti music.
Contacted by H-Metro, Enzo said he was just appreciating the gospel artists for their great work and impact in showbiz.
“I am not working on a gospel song, I was just appreciating gospel artists like Baba Charamba for they are the root of music and they also sing deep music,” he said.
Enzo is topping YouTube charts with his new track titled Tiza.
“The single was well received by people, I am happy that they approved the track, I just can’t wait to make new music and show my creativity,” he said.
