EPWORTH-BASED artist Kudakwashe ‘Badman Kusso’ Nzenza says he wants to demystify the perception which has seen his neighbourhood being mostly associated with bad things.
Badman Kusso feels there are also some good things which are coming out of Epworth.
“I stay in Epworth and the place, is looked down upon by many people but I want those who only associate it with bad things to know that the place also has some good people.
“We are trying to put our location on the map for all the right reasons
“I have worked with Van Choga, Culture Love, Gwetah Fire, D Mango and the SA-based OB band.
“I have many songs and they include ‘Kura Zvakanaka Mwanangu’, ‘Zvairema’, ‘Njuma’, ‘Wakambondidairirei’, ‘Unogara Nani Mudiwa?’, ‘Ndakatadzei’, ‘Maoko Maranda’, ‘Inzwai Tsitsi’, ‘Hupenyu Hunoshanduka’, ‘Chirere’, ‘Ndiregerereiwo’, ‘Guka’, ‘Dhaunda’ and ‘Dare Komborerai Mai Vangu,’ and many more.
“All in all, the songs are now above 50.
“Some of my songs are inspired by the life I have lived and I am thankful to God for taking me through the difficult times.”
He added:
“I started singing when I was young and I now have 15 years in the industry.
“I sing jiti and conscious music.
“The journey has not been easy since I have always failed to finish my projects.
“It is my wish to complete my videos and also complete the recording of some of the songs.”
Badman Kusso said he gets motivation from his fans and businessman Tinashe Mutarisi.
“My fans give me the energy and mukoma Tinashe Mutarisi vanoita kuti ndiwane simba nekurudziro yavanondipa ndovatenda zvikuru.
“I also thank my producer who helped me to come up with the songs.”
His manager, Munashe Dendemara, said they were grateful to the support they keep receiving from Tinashe Mutarisi.
