Esigodini to host SADC Anti-Sanctions concert with star-studded lineup

The Southern African Development Community (SADC) Anti-Sanctions music concert will be held on Friday at Habane Stadium in Esigodini, Matabeleland South province starting at 6pm.

Themed “Embracing Innovation Towards Vision 2030: The Relentless Fight Against Illegal Sanctions”, the event aims to raise awareness about the long-standing sanctions imposed on Zimbabwe.

A star-studded lineup is set to perform, featuring popular artistes such as Jah Master, Sandra Ndebele, Chief Hwenje, DJ Fantan, Iyasa, Godolude, Jeys Marabini, Clement Magwaza, Sasha Madube, Mzoe7, Madlela Skhobokhobo, Simon Mutambi, Jah Signal, Mbare Chimurenga, and Mark Ngwazi, among many others.

Entry to the concert is free, offering a chance for thousands to gather in solidarity.

SADC chairman, President Emmerson Mnangagwa will lead the SADC Anti-Sanctions Day activities, continuing the regional call to end the sanctions that have burdened Zimbabwe for over 23 years.

SADC Anti-Sanctions Day was officially established in August 2019 under the chairmanship of Tanzania’s late president, Dr. John Magufuli.
