FORMER Warriors midfield general Esrom Nyandoro has paid tribute to one of the country’s greatest footballers ever, Peter Ndlovu, who is set to be unveiled as the new Scottland manager this week.

The two legends worked together for a long time at the all-conquering South African football giants, Mamelodi Sundowns, where Nyandoro is revered after great performances in midfield for the club before hanging up his boots. He was later appointed the club’s scout, responsible for identifying future Brazilians.

Writing on his Facebook wall on Sunday morning, Nyandoro said he had all the confidence that Nsukuzonke will execute his new role with so much honour and grace.

“My brother Peter Ndlovu, you have always set a high bar for us all, and especially me. People don’t know this, but your advice to me is always full of wisdom. I draw from you and always have, my leader and legend. You have yet again set a high bar, and I know you are going to execute this new role with so much honor and so much grace. The players are in good hands. Congratulations are in place, my brother, and keep soaring high above your dreams till you reach Greater heights,” wrote Nyandoro.
