Eto’o allays rumours

LONDON. — Samuel Eto’o has rebuked rumours which suggest he is ready to quit Stamford Bridge, claiming he is wholeheartedly committed to Chelsea. The Cameroon striker has scored seven times in 27 appearances since signing a one-year contract, worth £7 million, in August last year.

However, recent reports have claimed the former Barcelona and Inter Milan forward is prepared to abandon the London club rather than push on towards a new contract.

Eto’o lambasted the speculation and remains adamant his heart is solely focused on Chelsea’s Premier League title campaign.
“False and degrading information has been published about me,” the 32-year-old posted on Instagram. I just want to remind all that I have a tremendous love for Chelsea. I have a lot of respect for my leaders and teammates.

“I love Chelsea fans and I will keep on giving everything I have to defend the Blues.” — Sky Sports.
