GOSPEL artiste and evangelist, Timothy Timothy, is set to launch his album ‘‘Ndaona Kakore’’ tomorrow.
The launch will be held at the Raylton Sports Club in the capital.
Supporting acts of the day include Pastor Vhengere, Brian Ngolomi, Nicholas Chiruga, Toxx Lodriq, Shepherd Kaimba, Apostle Sambo, Pastor Matende, C Jay Swag, Phil Mude, Minister Normal and Social Doctor.
In an interview with H-Metro, Timothy said it was all systems go.
Timothy, who traded football boots for the microphone, said the album gives both believers, and non-believers, strength to move on in life.
“The new album is called Ndaona Kakore off a biblical line by Elisha and it signifies the end of years of drought.
“Most of the songs of this album give people hope after going through times like the Covid-19 pandemic.
“We went through a lot during lockdown and this is the right time we need to have faith in God all the time,” he said.
He added: “The album comprises nine tracks, comprising Ndawana Makomborero, Hazvisi Zvevakafitwa, Tsoro yaShe, Munorweiko, Ngaruve Nemi, Makorokoto, Zvinopfuura Wangu, Dzora Moyo Utendeuke and Simuka Ushaine,” he said.
He also assured his followers that Ndaona Kakore was rich in both texture and appeal.
“This album it is very unique in the sense that we tried to do a different sound by engaging diverse artists for collaborations. We put in a live feel on the album and it is going to be interesting and I believe it is an upgrade in both composition of words and sound.”
Timothy hailed his team for the great work they did.
“Lyton Ngolomi, my producer, worked his magic, he always surprises me with his wizardry on mixing and mastering music.
“Bethen did backing vocals on the bulk of the tracks, Rumbie Zvirikuzhe helped me on the song Makorokoto and did backings on some songs.
“Trymore Bande featured on Zvinopfuura Wangu, Munorweiko features Chief Hwenje and I am probably the last person to do a song with the now retired Saina hitmaker, Tatenda Pinjisi.
“Mr J Mtangaz of Mutangaz Hideout and Bishop Moosah have been supportive materially,” he told H-Metro.
