A woman said her ex-husband always approaches her for help with his new lover whenever they have problems.
Precious Muzega took her ex-husband, Fadzai Muzega, to the Civil Court claiming US$30 in spousal maintenance.
Magistrate Ayanda Dhlamini granted her claim.
“My ex-husband is a builder and I want him to maintain me with US$30 because he can afford through contracts. I used to run around finding jobs for him.
“Whenever he has problems with his girlfriend, he comes to me. He is staying with someone, but they don’t have a child together.
“I got married to him in 2020 and we wedded,” said Precious.
Fadzai said he doesn’t work and can’t afford what his ex-wife was demanding.
“I have nothing to offer her because I don’t have money. She is the one who paid for my bus fare to attend this court.
“I have another child with another woman and I am paying maintenance of $15 000.
“Yes, I am a builder, but I don’t always get contracts,” said Fadzai.
