VIKTOR GYOKERES is scoring on and off the pitch yet again after his ex-girlfriend appeared to confirm that they are back together.
The Arsenal striker, who moved from Portugal to London over the summer, split with model Wag Ines Aguiar before his transfer.
It was a reported attempt to cut his ties to Lisbon after spending a year with his other half there.
They got together in 2024, shortly after Gyokeres arrived at Sporting from Coventry, but ended things before his next big-money deal.
And following a slow start back in England, Gyokeres is in the goals and looks to have reconciled with Aguiar, 27.
The brunette stunner dropped a major hint that they were seeing each other once more in her latest Instagram photo dump.
Posting pics from “somewhere in a very recent past” she included a video taken inside Mansfield’s Field Mill stadium.
That gave the game away, as did Gyokeres liking her posts, as Arsenal played the League One side in the FA Cup earlier this month.
Gyokeres was rested for the match and did not make it off the bench but Aguiar still attended.
Arsenal won 2-1 in a tighter than expected result but Aguiar made the trip nonetheless.
She rocked a black leather coat, a black hoodie pulled up over her head, and a black cap while posing in the distinctive stands.
Blue and yellow seats – the colour of Mansfield – can be seen behind her as she seems to blow from her mouth in the cold.
Unless Aguiar is secretly a major fan of the cup or was there groundhopping, it is likely she was with the Swedish goal machine.
It may mean Arsenal fans need a new chant for their No14, who has upped his scoring rate of late.
Gyokeres, also 27, was slow off the mark in North London but has found his feet with nine goals and two assists since January 9 (18 games).
Gunners supporters, who cheer on the Swedish bagsman and often copy his celebration, have been heard singing: “He dumped his girlfriend to play in red and white.”
The forward was not drawn to comment on the lyrics earlier this season either with neither party going public at any stage to talk about it.
But Aguiar has chosen now is the time to let followers know she’s been close to him.
It was claimed that as Sporting held out for a giant fee last year, Gyokeres pushed to go.
Aguiar, the media said, tried to convince him to stay for at least another season.
But Arsenal won the battle and Gyokeres got his transfer.
Now Aguiar looks to be back and also posted photos from luxury restaurants, behind-the-scenes of a shoot, sipping on a hot drink, and flying above snow-capped mountains.
For Gyokeres, who played as Arsenal missed the chance to secure a first piece of silverware of the season – and since 2020 as a club – in the Carabao Cup final there is still plenty to celebrate.
His side could yet pick up THREE trophies before the end of May and now love is in the air again as well. – The Sun
