Ex-deputy minister Chapfika dies

FORMER Deputy Minister of Finance and ZANU PF Central Committee member Cde David Chapfika was killed in a horrific car crash today.

His vehicle is understood to have fallen from the bridge and landed upside down in a river along Harare-Shamva Road.

He was 68.

Zanu PF Mashonaland East political commissar, Cde Lincoln Matare, confirmed the death.

“Yes, we received reports of his death early this morning. As a province, we have lost a dedicated cadre who loved his party. He was always available for guidance. May his soul rest in peace,” said Cde Matare.
