A Harare man said he is afraid that his minor daughter could be sexually abused, as his ex-wife brings different men to her house.
Ernest Musarurwa said this at the Harare Civil Court where he was opposing a protection order against him that his ex-wife, Nyasha Marvelous, applied for.
Nyasha accused Ernest of being violent towards her and magistrate Tamara Chibindi granted her application.
“He comes to assault and insult me at my house and also threatens to take the children,” she said.
Ernest denied the accusations, saying Nyasha was lying to the court.
“I went where she is staying after I discovered that she had been lying to me that she was working in Marondera while she was at her boyfriend’s house.
“I never threatened to take the children, but she gave me the other two children on her own. She even packed for them.
“I no longer want my minor child to continue staying with her because she brings different men home and I am afraid they might sexually abuse my daughter,” he said.
Magistrate Chibindi ordered Ernest not to insult, assault or go to Nyasha’s place of residence.
