Ex-Generations actor hospitalised

Melusi Yeni who played Phenyo in South Africa’s Generations soapie apparently spent two weeks in Durban’s Chief Albert Luthuli hospital. Yeni, who appeared in Generations, then SABC 2’s Muvhango, was apparently hospitalised for two weeks and needed intensive care as he was in a critical condition. According to Move magazine, Yeni was discharged and is now at his parent’s home in KwaMashu. Two sources confirmed to the weekly that Yeni was indeed unwell. One source would not disclose the actor’s illness but confirmed it was serious.

“I heard about his condition but I haven’t had any luck in communicating with him lately. I haven’t seen him for a while but I’m planning on visiting him soon,” said a close friend.

Yeni made headlines last year after it was revealed he would need to make child support payments totalling over R1 million over 18 years, to the mother of his child. Yeni is also apparently expecting a child with a make-up artiste from Muvhango.- Online.
