Exceeding blessings of God — Part 1

Bishop Dr B. Manjoro
I will talk to you today about three men in the Bible. The three experienced the exceeding supernatural blessings of the Lord.
Against all odds, the men grew exceedingly great; beyond their natural capacity and limitations.
Are you like one of them; you feel like you are bound, disadvantaged and like you are a nobody? Be of good courage, 2014 is a good year, the supernatural grace and blessings of God will take control in your life, just at it took control in the lives of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

All things have natural limitations but when the supernatural speed of God comes the natural is overtaken. The supernatural reverses the natural. Discover the timeless values and keys to excelling higher in this season with exceeding blessings of God.

From our main text Ephesians 3:20 we clearly hear the plan of God for our success in life, “Now unto him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.”

It’s possible that you can under live your life and not know it. You can be bound by the enemy in lack, sickness, bad luck, turmoil, fears and depression without realising that God desires above all to have your life prosperous and successful. Hallelujah!

The first man we will look at is Abraham. He was of a disadvantaged background in that his clan did not know God but were pagans and idol worshippers.

Yet God loved and chose him to become the father of many nations of whom he said to, “Fear, not Abram: I am thy shield and thy exceeding great reward” (Genesis 15:1).

O hallelujah, it doesn’t matter where you are coming from or how miserable your back ground is if you have just surrendered your life to God, His supernatural speed and blessings will take over in your life.

O you can let it take over even now. In this year, 2014 surrender your life to God. Make Jesus the Lord of your life.
You could be asking now saying, “Eh, but pastor what do I get by surrendering to God?”

Listen my friend, in the verse above two things were promised to Abraham, by then Abram. God was to be his shield, signifying divine protection and also to become Abraham’s exceeding great reward. O glory – this all yours.

If you had no protection this year God will supernaturally protect you. You don’t need charms, goblins or “things” to look after you, family, business and all. No.

You only need God who will be your shield of protection. He will protect you with great speed and with no delay. Divine protection is yours.
Even if you may have been threatened over Christmas and told “haaa apana kana nechaunobura iwe” (you will amount to nothing), don’t worry.

You don’t need to run here and there, divine protection is yours; in Jesus name God is going to be your protector from all intentions of the Devil.

Many people fear death but don’t fear, God will protect you from premature death and be your shield.
Secondly, he told him that he was to become his exceeding great reward meaning God was to reward him supernaturally, no wonder the supernatural birth of Isaac born of a man over a 100 years and a woman of 90-years-old.

O hallelujah, man’s rewards have limits, even pensions, you are rewarded only up to a certain scale or grade but with God, there are no limits.

An old couple got rewarded with a healthy bouncing baby boy, Isaac.
I remember many years back as a young preacher, having been sent by my pastor to preach in a particular town about 300km from Harare.

I preached powerfully on the revival there and on my coming back, standing at the bus stop, I had only a few dollars with me which couldn’t get me back to Harare. One gentleman stopped his car and reversed to where I was standing.

He looked at me and said, “Ah evangelist, you were here this weekend, Sure I missed out. Anywhere I have this for you,” giving me an envelope. Warmly I thanked the man who immediately drove off.

Alone now, I opened it and realised, O’ God had supernaturally provided and rewarded me! My bus fare, dry cleaner, and all expenses of the trip were met by that one gift from the man.

That was God.
In this year let God supernaturally protect and supernaturally reward you. Be it a business, car, good health, peaceful relationships, a united family, whatever you desire, be supernaturally rewarded by the Lord.

From Abraham we see Isaac, a man born of a woman too old to give birth. This appeared like a disadvantage to him, background wise.
Being a pastor I have also met many people crying and stuck in life because they do not know who their father is. It eats them up terribly and affects all focus on life.

Friend, let me tell you something, if you don’t your father don’t worry about it. If you will know him, you will know him but do not let the Devil have a hold on you and make it appear as if because you don’t know your father therefore you will never amount to anything in life. No, no, no.

It’s a lie. Refuse it. Fight for your life; and contend for the supernatural blessings of God nonetheless. If you didn’t know; there are many who know their fathers but have achieved nothing in life.

Be encouraged, you can make it in life. If it so happens you see him amen, if not tell yourself “knowing him or not I will rise above in life and be a success!” Hallelujah! God is on your side.

We see Isaac so afraid in life to the point that he lied that Rebecca (his wife) was his sister.
But as we read more we discover in turn how an entire nation became afraid of him to the point of begging him to go away from them, “And Abimelech said unto Isaac, Go from us; for thou art much mightier than we” (Genesis 26:16). O hallelujah!

What does this mean to you then? It means in 2014 your enemy is going to be afraid of you. You will be the same person but he will lose hope and say, “Ah I’m wasting my time following this person.”

I declare the spirit of dominion over your life; dominion over situation and over your enemies.
You may even ask, But Pastor why are you talking like this?

Yet some of you are even afraid to drive your own cars because of what people say. You fear to be bewitched. This is not the time. Trust in God for “the fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe” (Proverbs 29:25).
