Delegates are expected to start arriving today for the Iconic Africa Summit where business leaders, organisations, innovators and philanthropists, among others, whose contributions have made a lasting impact on their sectors, are set to be honoured.

The event is being organised by Iconic International Holdings in collaboration with Mayorkings Charity Foundation, together with their strategic partner, Concord for Young Women in Business.

In an interview last night, Concord for Young Women in Business international spokesperson and public relations executive, Ms Belinda Mthombeni, said preparations for the event are at an advanced stage.

“We are hosting the event on Friday, February 13, 2026. Tomorrow (today), we expected regional guests to start arriving for the mega event,” she said.

“The prestigious Iconic Africa Summit/Honours stands as a testament to a rich legacy of recognising excellence and fostering continental collaboration.

“The event, which has evolved and grown over numerous editions, has become a definitive platform for celebrating groundbreaking achievements and bringing together a diverse community of influential leaders.”

Ms Mthombeni said over the course of its history, the summit has honoured over 650 people and organisations.

“This esteemed group includes a wide array of visionaries, from business leaders and innovators to philanthropists and creative minds, whose contributions have left a lasting impact on their respective sectors.

“The event’s reach and influence are further demonstrated by its impressive attendance. Over 20 000 attendees have graced the summit across its five editions, both hybrid and virtual,” said Ms Mthombeni.

Each year, the gathering attracts a diverse audience of global elites, industry leaders, visionaries and change makers, creating an unparalleled environment for networking and intellectual exchange.

Reflecting its international flair, the summit has drawn participants from over 30 countries.

Award recipients, dignitaries and attendees travel from across Africa and beyond, highlighting the event’s success in building a global network dedicated to driving positive change.

The Iconic Africa Summit/Honours continues to build on this legacy, solidifying its reputation as a leading international event that champions excellence, innovation and sustainable leadership on a continental scale.

Added Ms Mthombeni: “It is with immense pleasure that Iconic International Holdings (Pty) Limited in strategic partnership with Concord for Young Women in Business Zimbabwe, welcomes you to the 2026 edition of the Prestigious Iconic Africa Summit/Honours, held in the vibrant city of Harare.

“This year, we are proud to convene under the powerful and timely theme, ‘The Africa We Want, Sustainable Development, Everyone’s Responsibility.’

“This theme is not merely a statement; it is a call to action. It recognises that the future of Africa — a continent of boundless potential and incredible diversity — is a shared responsibility. It is a future built on sustainable practices, inclusive growth, and collective effort.”

This year, several groundbreaking initiatives will be unveiled, including the official launch of Iconic Africa, Iconic Africa Women, Iconic Africa Under 50, Iconic Africa Under 40, Iconic Africa Under 30, and the highly anticipated Iconic Africa 2026 List.

Ms Mthombeni said these iconic brands embody innovation, sustainability, and “the very essence of the Africa we want”.
