THE Face of Kariba ambassador, Geraldine Mandengenda, has demonstrated her love for the resort town through charity work.
The beauty, in conjunction with a host of other corporates in Kariba, distributed clothes and groceries to orphans, the vulnerable and elderly at the weekend.
Geraldine said she was moved to even do more next time.
“I was overwhelmed by the situations some of our people are enduring just to survive, however, I am happy to offer the helping hand to our people.
“I used my influence to source for the help and I am glad a few well-wishers have come on board to share the love with our brothers and sisters in and around Kariba.
“We made a difference and agreed that we can still do more for the less privileged people in Kariba.”
Face of Kariba director, Alois Chimbangu, says the organisation is planning to source for more help.
“To achieve our goals, we invite other stakeholders in the community to partner with us as we embark on this journey.
“There is a lot that still needs to be done because we have identified a number of families that don’t just need a helping hand but something to sustain them.
“We believe that, in working together, we can bring meaningful change and contribute towards building better living conditions to the less privileged in Kariba,” said Chimbangu.
Since its inception, The Face of Kariba campaign has been playing a crucial role in raising awareness about the town, its attractions and promoting sustainable development.
