FACT: Tendai Ndoro better than Cristiano Ronaldo

YOU BEAUTY! That is what a newspaper headline from Tendai Ndoroas home town would scream had he been a British player- but back home, football enthusiasts will read whatas in front of them and ask themselves when Ndoro would return to the Warriors setup of late.

His recent influx of goals has seen him challenge Europeas elite when it comes to goals-per-game ratios.

Can you guess where he stands on the table?

Last weekend, the striker netted his 10th goal in his last nine games for the Buccaneers, meaning he has scored every 81 minutes spent on the field a an impressive tally to say the least!

Taking those nine matches into consideration, Ndoroas scoring ratio is, in fact, better than most of Europeas top scorers, with only Luis Suarez beating him.

Here is a breakdown of the top goal-scoring ratios (across all competitions) in their past nine games:

. Luis Suarez a a goal every 73 minutes (11 goals in last nine appearances)

Tendai Ndoro a a goal every 81 minutes (10 goals in last nine appearances)

Cristiano Ronaldo a a goal every 101 minutes (eight goals in last nine appearances)

Harry Kane a a goal every 101 minutes (eight goals in last nine appearances)

Gonzalo Higuain a a goal every 135 minutes (six goals in last nine appearances)

Lionel Messi a a goal every 135 minutes (six goals in last nine appearances)

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang a a goal every 135 minutes (six goals in last nine appearances)

What would have made this statistic more impressive was if Ndoro had only turned out nine times for Pirates this season, but he has, in fact, notched up 17 appearances in total.

This then means the former Chicken Inn forward has an overall ratio of a goal every 153 minutes.

However, since the 28-year-old bagged his first strike, against his old club Mpumalanga Black Aces, for the Sea Robbers this season, thereas no denying he has been unstoppable.

Last Saturday night, the Nketa 8 raised player scored his fifth goal in the Nedbank Cup and provided an assist as Orlando Pirates defeated Mamelodi Sundowns 2-0 after extra time at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday night to move into the semi-finals.

It remains to be seen if Ndoroas recent run can see him challenge Collins Mbesuma at the top of the Absa PSL leader boards.
