TWO Victoria Falls men are behind bars after allegedly gang-sodomising a 15-year-old boy whom they lured with fake promises of a job.

The shocking ordeal, which has left the teen traumatised and battling a sexually transmitted infection, occurred in June this year.

Simbarashe Ncube (24) of Mkhosana suburb and Clinton Ndlovu (24) of Chinotimba appeared before Victoria Falls magistrate Tafara Machaya on Saturday. The pair were remanded in custody until 17 October pending trial.

Prosecutor Daphne Ntini told the court that the juvenile and his 17-year-old brother were on their way to a Nyawo traditional street dance when they met Ndlovu and a woman.

“Ndlovu approached the boys and offered them a job, inviting them to his house in Chinotimba. Trusting him, they followed,” said Ntini.

The so-called job turned into a nightmare. The court heard that the room was divided by a curtain, with Ncube sleeping on the other side.

“Once inside, Ndlovu locked the door and demanded that the boys have anal intercourse with them in exchange for money. When they refused, he threatened them,” said the prosecutor.

Sensing danger, the older brother pretended to go to the toilet and escaped, leaving his 15-year-old sibling trapped.

That’s when Ncube reportedly pounced.

“He emerged from behind the curtain, stripped the complainant, and forcibly sodomised him once without consent,” said Ntini.

Moments later, Ndlovu returned and also allegedly raped the teen.

After the horrific attack, the boy was threatened with death if he told anyone. Months later, in August, the teen fell ill. Medical tests revealed he had contracted syphilis.

Unable to bear the secret any longer, the victim finally opened up to his guardian on 30 September, leading to the arrest of both men.
