Family of God Church choir to launch album

The Family of God Church choir, led by Apostle Andrew Wutawunashe, is set to launch their 10-track album on December 19 at Ster Kinekor cinema in Harare.

The album, which features tracks such as “Mwari Watigadzirira”, “Jehova Ndiye Mufudzi Wangu”, “Ruoko Rwenyasha”, “Utiziro Hwangu” , “Wisdom” and “You Reign”, was composed by several composers among them Elson Chivandikwa, Taruvinga Mutumhe, Priscilla Mutangi, Richard Juma and Carol Munyanyiwa, to mention just a few.

The choir director was Elizabeth Masasi while on keyboards was Blessing Chimanga, and on drums was Nkosana Hamandishe with Chimanga also assisted on percussion.

Chivandikwa played the lead guitar while Joseph Chinouriri blew the saxophone. Prophet Wutawunashe was the executive producer.

Guest at the launch is Deputy Minister of Information. Media and Broadcasting Services Supa Mandiwanzira. There is also going to be an exhortation by Prophet Wutawunashe. Reverend Damasane and music critic and producer Richard “RK” Kohola will be the emcees.

Other guests include representatives from the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe and Zimbabwe Music Rights Association as well as radio stations.
