FANS are gearing up for the Kalawa home coming show that will be held this Friday at Queens Sports Club. It was all smiles for Natasha Kikins, William Dube and Thamsanqa Moyo who received prizes for answering the questions on the SMS platform.For their troubles Natasha and William received tickets each and Thamsanqa Moyo received an album by Character released this year called Self Control.
Speaking during a presentation at Chronicle offices yesterday, one of the lucky winners William Dube who lives in the city, said he was surprised and was not expecting that he would win.
“I am shocked, because it was not in my mind that I was going to win the ticket. I am happy that I was just lucky,” he said.
William, an aspiring cricketer, said he could not fathom the excitement that the Kalawa show has brought to him.
Natasha, another winner of a ticket, concurred with her counterpart and added she was looking forward to a great and exciting show.
“I am glad and equally shocked at the same time because I really was not expecting to win, but honestly I am really grateful to Chronicle and the organisers of the show,” said the fan from Thorngroove.
The winner of the CD album by Character – Self Control, Thamsanqa Moyo of Nkulumane 12 said: “I thought that many people would respond before me and I would not win the tickets,”
A total of 12 artistes from the extremely talented Kalawa stable will perform at the gig. These include the house guru and the ace himself Oskido, high kicking Doctor Malinga, Professor, DJ Zinhle, Nketa-born Berita, Tony Digital, Uhuru, Candy and Pepsi.
