SUNGURA fans have welcomed prospects of the Ngwazi siblings Mark (35) and Tindo (31) to collaborate on a new album.
This comes after Mark took to his social media to announce that the two are working on a collaborative project that will be released anytime soon. However, the two were expected to convene a crucial meeting last night where more details of the project were to be discussed.
“It’s confirmed, Tindo and I tichamborova album takabatana this year.
“We have titled the album-Zvehukama and we are still to agree on more details and songs that will feature on the project,” said Mark Ngwazi.
Tindo confirmed joining forces with his older sibling.
“It’s true Mkoma wangu ndiBaba vangu ava ndakafarisira zvekudaro pavakauya nezano rekutsikisa tiri pamwechete.
” Let me ‘confirm’ this, yes it’s coming the hottest you ever witnessed from us since our birth to this industry,” said Tindo.
The news is against the background that there is bad blood between the two who also sing in the same genre.
However, the siblings have been at the forefront of reviving the sungura genre by churning hits. This year Mark has already released his seventh album titled-Huzukwende album which has club bangers like “Maintanance”, “Imari Ngani” and “Dzimwe Hondo”.
On the other hand, Tindo is in waiting to launch his own project. Mark is on record claiming that he has many unreleased songs enough to fill a couple of albums.
In 2023 Tindo’s Musatipedzere Nguva song featuring Tryson Chimbetu was number 1 on Radio Zimbabwe’s Top 50. While Mark’s Nyaradzo Yababa claimed the second position on Radio Zimbabwe’s 2022 Top 50.
Mark’s word smith and fusion of humour and rhymes and Tindo’s great artistry only separates the talented duo.
