The Who’s Who in local music circles including fellow musicians and the Minister of Media, Information and Publicity, Cde Webster Shamu, among others are expected to attend the launch.
Farai shows maturity on the album that was, however, affected by piracy soon after its release in November last year.
On the album, Farai also pays tribute to his late friend and mentor, Tongai Moyo, as evidenced by the song, “Mherekedzo”.
“He (Tongai) was more than just a good friend to me, he was like a brother. He brought me into the limelight and I realised that it was important to dedicate another song to him after the one I wrote while he was still alive,” Farai was quoted as saying.
Apart from the tribute song to Dhewa, other songs on the album include “Tiroverei Maoko”, which is dedicated to Dynamos, which is Farai’s favourite soccer team.
“Rega Vakutambudze”, “Mavambo Emba”, “Tenda Kuchengetwa” and “Pamusika Werudo” make up the rest of the playlist.
The album is also enhanced by the inclusion of talented guitarist Roderick Chomudhara, who plays the lead guitar.
Farai said he was currently working on an accompanying DVD album which will follow after the launch of the album.
“Pahasha – Love Market” is Farai’s third album with Diamond Studios after “Ngingo Ngingo – Thunderbolt” and “Dinga Tinga – Experience”.
