JAN Jam director, Cynthia Bizure, says she will not lose sleep over haters poking fun at her after she opened a tuck shops in Harare CBD.
She claims that her peers have been spreading rumours that she has failed.
The award-winning fashionista, who is popular for dressing top celebrities like Jah Prayzah and Freeman, conceded that trendy clothes were no longer a priority to Zimbabweans.
“I have opened these tuck shops after realising that I should not lay my eggs in one basket.
“I have also noted that people will always need food no matter how life becomes.
“The challenging economic situation has forced me to diversify into grocery shops,” she said.
She added:
“Like any other sector, we have been affected a lot.
“People now prefer second-hand clothes and we have to slash our prices to remain in the game.
“With rentals needed by our landlords, we have to be innovative to remain in the game.”
Cynthia told H-Metro that her rivals have been trolling her on social media.
“Haters will always be there and some of these people, who are poking fun at me, I once helped them.
“I have never bragged that I helped them but they are now at the forefront in denigrating me.
“As a businesswoman, I will not throw in the towel but continue working hard to fend for my family as well as paying my employees,” she said.
Cynthia added that she gets support from her family and husband.
“I have a good support system in the form of my family and husband.
“My inner circle knows that I have always loved buying and selling, which made me who I am today.
“As such, I will not be bothered by these losers poking fun at me.”
