Fastjet Zimbabwe has expanded its domestic network with the introduction of a new route connecting Bulawayo to Victoria Falls.
The new service operates four times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, providing convenient travel options for both leisure and business travellers.
The airline has deployed its state-of-the-art Embraer fleet on this route, ensuring passengers enjoy a comfortable and seamless flying experience.
Speaking about the development, fastjet Zimbabwe spokesperson Nunurai Ndawana said the move will boost tourism.
“The new Bulawayo to Victoria Falls flight strengthens our presence in Bulawayo and shows our commitment to the development of tourism in the region.
“Our four times a week flights offer more travel opportunities and support both leisure and corporate travel between the two cities, reaffirming our position as a key airline partner in connecting the Matabeleland region.”
fastjet Zimbabwe’s chief commercial officer, Vivian Ruwuya, described the move as a critical milestone for the airline and the region.
“We have been closely monitoring the development and traffic trends between the manufacturing city of Bulawayo and our tourism hub in Victoria Falls.
“The introduction of a scheduled service is the result of extensive consultative engagements and collaboration with key players in the industry.”
The route aims to boost tourism and business activity by improving connectivity between Bulawayo, a major manufacturing hub and Victoria Falls, one of Africa’s most iconic tourist destinations.
The new flights are expected to enhance convenience for travellers, while supporting regional economic growth.
This development underscores fastjet Zimbabwe’s commitment to strengthening regional connectivity and fostering partnerships that contribute to the growth of Zimbabwe’s travel and tourism industry.
