A FATHER dragged his two children to court accusing them of evicting him from his own house.
Martin Dzvinge was angry with his daughter, Praise (27) and son Prince (22) for not respecting him as a father.
He also applied for a protection order against them, which was granted by magistrate Tamara Chibindi.
The children were ordered to stop insulting, abusing and intimidating their father.
Martin claimed his children were cruel and rude.
He said his fallout with them started when he proposed to remarry after the death of their mother.
“After the death of their mother, I proposed to marry my sister in-law and my in-laws agreed,” he said.
“My children are now bitter with me and that is why they are acting like this.
“It has been two weeks since I ran away from my house.
“My children have no right to choose for me who to marry,” said Martin.
In their defence, Praise and Prince denied the allegations.
“He is lying that I chased him from his house.
“I advised my father not to marry my aunt, but he started insulting me.
“My mother died six months ago and it hurts me.
“We are not in good books with my aunt, and he should pick a random woman out there,” said Praise.
Her brother, Prince, added:
“I did not assault my father, but last Saturday he came home in the morning.
“I asked him where he slept the previous night, and he started beating me up.”
