A man has dragged his daughter-in-law to the Harare Civil Court for insisting to stay at his house after she had a misunderstanding with his son.

Mr Anesu Nyamadzawo said his daughter-in-law, Ms Unati Mkwedzi, was demanding to stay in his house after her misunderstanding with his son.

“If they had an altercation, she should go to my son’s house and solve their issues,” he said.

“I want her to be barred from coming to my house, I am not her husband, but her father-in-law.”

In her response, Ms Mkwedzi denied the allegations.

“I am not demanding to stay with my father-in-law, my husband and I had marital issues, but we have already resolved them.”

Presiding magistrate Ms Johanna Mukwesha ordered Ms Mkwedzi to stay away from or visit Mr Nyamadzawo’s house to disturb his peace.
