FBC insurance wing appoints new boss

Kudenga took through a decade of tumultuous economic conditions, said he is leaving to pursue private business.

FBC chairman Mr David Birch said Mr Kudenga would leave the reinsurance group on February 28, to pave the way for Mr Chiketsani.
“The chairman of FBC Reinsurance Limited (Mr David Birch) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Kleto Chiketsani the managing director of FBC Reinsurance Limited with effect from March 1, 2012.

“We would like to take this opportunity to wish Kleto well in his new position and are confident he will steer the company well into the future,” he said.
Mr Chiketsani joined the then Southern Africa Reinsurance Company in 1995 as senior underwriter and rose through the ranks to become executive director (operations), a position he held until his latest appointment.

Having graduated with a Bachelor of Business Studies degree from the University of Zimbabwe, Mr Chiketsani now has 23 years experience in insurance.

He is also an associate of the Insurance Institute of Southern Africa.
Mr Kudenga joined the then First Banking Corporation as an executive director for investment banking in 2002. He was appointed managing director of FBC Reinsurance in 2006.
