NORMAN Mapeza is confident of a positive result when his men clash against Highlanders in the Independence Cup semi-finals at Barbourfields tomorrow afternoon.
The platinum miners are the holders of the Uhuru Cup and want to win the tourney again.
“We want to reach the final. We are going to Bulawayo to seek a positive result. We are ready for the tournament,” said Mapeza.
“We are going to play some football and try and get a result and that is the most important thing for us.
“I am going to give some game time to my players who have not been involved in the league.
“I do not have fringe players at my team because everyone who is registered must play football. “The morale in the camp is high but the most important thing is to get a positive a result and proceed to the final. I am leaving everything in God’s hands.”
Mapeza said it wasn’t easy to win back-to-back matches against Bosso at Barbourfields in as many weeks.
“We thought the game was supposed to be played at Mandava. We have to go to Bulawayo tomorrow (today).
“If we win in Bulawayo we have to travel and sleep on the way on Saturday night, maybe in Kadoma, and proceed to Harare on Sunday in preparation for the final on Monday.”
