FC Platinum ready for DeMbare

The cheapest ticket has been pegged at $5.

Acting coach Tendai Chikuni said his players are highly motivated and looking forward to the blood-and-thunder match, which is likely to be sold out.

“I am encouraging fans to come and celebrate with us after 90 minutes as I am looking forward to a very positive result. Everyone in my team is raring to go and I am only worried that I will be missing the services of Joel Ngodzo who has not been playing because of injury,” said Chikuni.

FC Platinum defender Norman “Chikozho” Togara will be expected to partner Daniel Veremu in defence with Qadr Amin operating from the left while former Shabanie Mine captain Simon Shoko will take charge of the right back.

Tafadzwa Dube will as usual be expected to be in charge of the goalposts as FC Platinum look forward to collecting maximum points and challenge for the championship which they have already declared they will lift this season.

“Dynamos are a very big club and have the capacity to come up with better players on Saturday but they should know that we are ready for them,” said the young coach who was bubbling with confidence.
Captain Veremu said it was payback time.

“We have never scored against Dynamos in a competitive match and on Saturday we are definitely going to score. I am urging fans to accept the outcome of the match as we do not want violence,” he said.

A win by Platinum could see Chikuni landing the vacant job and his players have vowed to play for him.

“Our coach is young and very good. We need him and we are going to play for him,” said the soft-spoken Cabby Kamhapa.

Dynamos might have a big fan base but neutrals will be rallying behind the miners especially Bosso fans who also need the trophy in their cabinet which has accumulated a lot of dust.
