FC Platinum vow to teach newboys Chiredzi a lesson

FC Platinum have vowed to teach Premier Soccer League newcomers Chiredzi FC a lesson when they clash at Gibbo Stadium this afternoon.
The lowveld fixture kicks off at 3PM.
Chiredzi FC coach, Moses Chunga has come up with a formidable side which has veterans Rowen Nenzou and Norman Maroto while his opposite number Lloyd Mutasa has roped in young midfielder Walter Musona, young brother to the Warriors and Kaizer Chiefs (SA) kingpin Knowledge Musona, veteran former Highlanders striker Njabulo “Tshiki” Ncube and Wisdom Mutasa who seem to have adapted well at the platinum miners.

The trio has proved a handful in the miners’ colours.
Tshiki was a thorn in the Highlanders flesh last weekend during the Uhuru semi-final match played at Barbourfields that he remains a player to watch for FC Platinum.

Ironically the two gaffers have many things in common that it would be interesting to see how each would fare against the other. Both coaches are former Dynamos players and coaches.  They were midfielders but now they are meeting as opponents in what promises to be an exciting match.

In an interview Mutasa said the team was ready for the match and have what it takes to collect maximum points today.
“I know we are meeting Bambo who is a legend in his own right but the legendary tag is neither here nor there. What we know is we want to collect the first three points of the season,” said Mutasa.

The former Tanganda and Dynamos midfield maestro said there was serious competition for places in his team adding that he had some of the best players in the land.
“There is stiff competition for positions in the team. We have good players that we do not expect anything short of a win. We will prevail at Gibbo tomorrow (today),” he said

His deputy Masimba Dinyero added; “We have a star-studded team which can win any match. We cannot single out any player but every player is performing above average. The ball game is just the same, we are taking the game as any other match.”

Chunga said he would do the talking in the field of play and is looking forward to a positive result.
“I have a fairly young team with the zeal to succeed and I trust my lads will deliver when it matters most. We want a win so are our opponents and that makes the game more exciting,” he said.
