Now they face a tricky tie against relegation-haunted police side Black Mambas, at Morris Depot, and this is by no means an easy team for any side in the league.
Bosso host unpredictable Buffaloes at Barbourfields but, compared to DeMbare, they seem to have an easier assignment.
The problem is that nothing, at this stage of the season, can be taken for granted.
The Glamour Boys lead the race with 59 points, two better than their old rivals, but this could all change if one of them slip.

There is no margin for error and, if you have been pushed as hard as Bosso have done, refusing to surrender, there is always a danger that slip could be fatal.
Not so long ago, it was DeMbare’s relentless pressure that finally forced Bosso to crumble.
Dynamos coach Callisto Pasuwa yesterday challenged his charges to invest maximum effort in the home stretch and treat Mambas with the respect that should be given to any such poisonous creature.

That Mambas struggled in the beginning of the season, doesn’t matter at all now and, as they showed in pushing Monomotapa all the way at Rufaro on Saturday before losing 2-3, they are dangerous.
Mambas, crucially, will have enjoyed an extra 24-hour rest when compared to Dyna-mos and, when you have just come out of a titanic clash like the Battle of Zimbabwe, these are not the kind of places you want to hunt.

Pasuwa revealed that he wanted his forwards to be more clinical in front of goal after watching them waste a number of glorious chances against Highlanders.
“We put up a good performance but, unfortunately, we couldn’t score more goals to win us the game,” said Pasuwa.
“Maybe, it was a matter of technical ability in front of goal, which we lacked.
“The most encouraging thing, however, is that we created the chances and got into those scoring positions. 
“So, we would want to continue from where we left off against Highlanders. We have been working on the finishing part and hopefully things will work out well.

“We talked about it and everyone knows we have to take our chances.
“Maybe complacency creeps in at times but these guys should know that results do not just come on a silver platter just because you are Dynamos. We need to put hard work into it.”
The Glamour Boys are not expected to make big changes to their starting line-up and they have roped in Timire Mamvura to replace injured defensive linkman Devon Chafa.

Simba Sithole, who scored a wonderful goal at the weekend, should lead the frontline again while Tawanda Muparati, Denver Mukamba and Cliff Sekete look set to retain their starting places. 
DeMbare beat Mambas 4-1 at Rufaro in the first leg. However, Mambas coach, John Ncube, believes the police side have more to play for as they need to move away from the relegation puzzle.

At the moment Mambas are safe with 28 points, four points clear of the cut-off zone.
But their battle for survival recently hit a bad patch after losing two games in succession to Highlanders and Monomotapa.
Ncube said his charges would not be sitting ducks.
“Since we got into the Premiership, every year it is either a draw or a defeat whenever we play against Dynamos. It’s high time we try something and collect points.

“They want to retain the title and we want to move away from relegation.
“If we continue losing matches we would be putting ourselves in real danger as.
“At this stage we cannot rely on other teams and we better collect points on our own,” said Ncube.
Highlanders will go into the match against Buffaloes in high spirits after collecting a vital point in Harare.

Coach, Kelvin Kaindu, yesterday said they will be looking to maximise on home advantage to get a positive result.
“I think this is an important fixture for us because we are coming from a big game which we picked a point away.
“These guys (Highlanders players) are really motivated but we want to keep focused especially coming up against a good side like Buffaloes.

“If you remember well Buffaloes played well against us in the first leg and we had to settle for a draw. So if they play like that again it could turn out to be a very difficult game,” said Kaindu.

Apart from Bevan Chikaka and Bruce Tshuma, Bosso have a clean bill of health.
They should expect more from their star players like Mthulisi Maphosa, Masimba Mambare and Graham Ncube.
The relegation dog-fight pitting Blue Rangers, Hardbody and Gunners is also getting tense at the bottom of the table as the teams face tricky tests this afternoon.

Blue Rangers coach Partson Ndabambi has a tall order at Chicken Inn as they need want to redeem themselves after suffering a morale shattering 5-0 drubbing at the hands of Motor Action at the weekend.

Ndabambi yesterday said Rangers will not throw in the towel as yet and are still looking positive to get maximum points despite the huge blow.  
“That was a demoralising defeat. We have talked about it and it’s now good as forgotten. I think we are ready for Chicken Inn.
“Every game is very important at this stage because we cannot keep losing points. I know it’s not going to be easy against Chicken Inn but we are determined to get the points,” said Ndabambi.

Rangers, however, will be missing James Marufu through injury and schoolboy Philip Nelson who is sitting for his O-Level exams.
