Award-winning songbird Feli Nandi has returned with a brand new song titled Muti Watemwa, accompanied by visuals shot and directed by SAP, which was released on 23 April.

On the song produced by Golden Fingers and Tadexx Made It, Feli Nandi focuses on using the power of words and Shona language metaphors, which always distinguish her from her counterparts in the music scene.

Speaking through her manager Connie Mazani, she said the song explains that it is wise not to say anything when emotions are heated up.

“The new song talks about how we should be careful with our words and be mindful of the everlasting damage caused by hurtful words,” she said.

Fans seem to be charmed by the single as it is amongst the top five songs trending in Zimbabwe.

One fan identified as Rhodesian Axe said Feli Nandi’s music speaks to his soul.

“If you are dying to know the truth about Mrs Feli Nandi, gather here. To the blind her music is light, to the hungry her music is bread, to the sick her music is the cure, to the lonely her music is company, to the sad her music is joy, to the prisoner her music is freedom, to the poor her music is treasure,” comment the fan on the song on YouTube.

Nyasha Biron said “The most vital thing about Feli Nandi is that her songs always carry a message. She doesn’t sing just for the sake of singing and for that we will always love her beautiful songs.”
