LOOKING stunning in a cream dress, without shoes, Feli Nandi turned on an electrifying set to officially launch the release of her second album ‘Ndisiyei,’ on Saturday at 7 Arts Theatre in Avondale.
Accompanied by her strong group of dancers and musicians, Feli powered her way through hits like ‘Muti Watemwa,’ and ‘Ndobatirira,’ in what was a battle of her old and new songs.
The highlight of the night was her performance of ‘Muti Watemwa,’ which really cemented Feli’s claim to being one of the finest vocalists around.
It was a true goosebump moment.
There were times when it felt like the diva was possessed by some spirits as she sang from the depth of her vocals.
Some of the socialites who bought the album on its launch are Madam Boss and King Solomon.
Feli Nandi said the album is a testimony to the diva’s personal journey in the musical industry.
The album features songs like ‘Tongai’, ‘Munamato’, ‘Ndisiyei’, ‘Ahungasiye,’ ‘Kukoromoka’, ‘Muranda’, ‘Shamwari’, ‘Fambai Neni’ and ‘Vakaita Sewe.’
The final part she was now in her African print dress outfit, when she delivered the album ‘Ndisiyei’
“I feel the love in this room; love from so many of you that have been there for me since the beginning,” she said.
The star also told the crowd that she was proud of the new album before singing new songs.
Her fans praised the singer for staging a good solo performance.
Her song ‘Vakaita Sewe’ is dedicated to her friend’s late son Tinaye Chibaya, an 11-year-old boy, whose tragic death touched the hearts of thousands of people last year.
Tinaye died of head injuries after he was dragged by a horse he was riding, during a family Easter holiday outing.
The album is her second studio project, following “Inzwi”, her debut album.Last year, Feli became a regular fixture at Doek & Slay events and successfully staged a nationwide tour.
She also headlined big events like the OK Grand Challenge and the Chibuku Road to Fame national finals.
She also performed in Germany and the UK.
