adminMashonaland West province police spokesman Inspector Clemence Mabweazara confirmed the incident saying the man who was offered a lift was drugged at gun point by two unidentified women who later harvested sperms from him. He said investigations were still in progress and no arrests had been made so far.
“The suspects forced the man to take some tablets at gun point forcing him to fall unconscious before he was driven to an unknown secluded house where the women took turns to sexually assault him for three days,” said Insp Mabweazara.
The Norton man became the latest victim of rape following reports of similar attacks a few days ago in Wedza.
Inspector Mabweazara disclosed that on the third day, the man was again drugged before he was dumped at the fly-over in Norton along the Harare-Bulawayo Road around 10pm.
The victim only re-gained consciousness around 1am and reported the matter at Norton police station.
“The police are still hunting for the perpetrators and we appeal to anyone with information to contact the police at any nearest station,” he said.
Numerous attacks, thought to be for ritual purposes, have been reported in the past few years in various parts of the country. The attacks only stopped briefly in 2011 following the arrest of three suspects from Gweru who were later acquitted of the indecent assault.
It had so far proven difficult for the police to catch the criminals responsible for a spate of kidnappings and sex attacks on male hitch-hikers.
