Female robbers tick woman and get away with US$7K

In the statement, national police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi has revealed that police are investigating a home invasion in Epworth, Harare.

He said that unknown robbers got away with US$7,000 and some groceries when they invaded a house in Epworth on 1 October.

Nyathi detailed how two female suspects gained the trust of the victim, who is also a female, by pretending to ask for water at around 11 pm before attacking her. Nyathi appealed to anyone with information to report to their nearest police station.

“Meanwhile, Police in Epworth are investigating a case of robbery which occurred at a house in Glenwood, Epworth, Harare on 01/11/24 at around 2300 hours. Two unidentified female suspects confronted the victim under the pretence of buying water before attacking her. The suspects ransacked the house and stole US$ 7000.00 cash and some groceries. Anyone with information to report at any nearest Police Station,” the statement reads. (iharare.com)
