Finally, Highlanders get a win

HIGHLANDERS secured a much-needed 2-1 victory over Herentals College in a Castle Lager Premiership match at Barbourfields yesterday.

The win comes after a disappointing run of draws and losses for the team.

Herentals took the lead after 37 minutes, but Highlanders replied with a spectacular shot from Gillian Nyathi, levelling the scores a minute later.

Highlanders pulled ahead just before half-time, with a deceptive effort from Calvin Chigonero.

Although there were protests from Herentals over a controversial goal, Highlanders hung on for the win. The victory was a boost for the team, which had won only 12 points from a possible 42 in previous matches.
