HIP-HOP artiste Fish F Ndaramu has dropped a new single titled Zvirisei Rasta, teaming up with trending rapper Mojo and fast-rising Bulawayo duo Tee x Tekie in what he describes as a youth-driven street anthem.
The track, produced by Zimbabwean producer Bysiq Beats, who is now based in South Africa, blends hip-hop with Afrocentric rhythms, a sound that has become synonymous with Fish F Ndaramu’s signature style.
Zvirisei Rasta stands out for its creative fusion of Zimbabwe’s two major languages, Shona and Ndebele, giving the song a strong cultural identity while maintaining broad appeal across audiences.
In an interview, Fish F Ndaramu said the song speaks to the pressures facing today’s youth and encourages them to remain confident and focused despite outside noise.
“The song addresses the challenges young people face, especially in the era of social media and the Instagram generation. The chorus carries a strong message, ‘Life ayina basa nema comments,’” he said.
“The phrase reminds people that life should not be lived for validation or online opinions, but with self-belief and resilience. We also wanted a sound that connects with Gen Z.”
He added that working with Mojo and Tee x Tekie brought fresh energy to the project.
“It was awesome collaborating with Mojo and Tee x Tekie. They’re very dynamic and their delivery on the beat elevated the overall vibe of the song,” said Fish F Ndaramu. – Follow on X: @mthabisi_mthire
