Five-day electricity blackout in Masvingo

Kudzai Gaveni, Online Writer

SOME parts of Masvingo have been without electricity since Sunday, due to a cable fault.

In a statement on X (Twitter) on Thursday, the Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission

Distribution Company (ZETDC) said the affected areas include Fourth Street and Smart Street in Mucheke.

The power utility said it is working to ensure full restoration of electricity and advised affected residents to regard all installations as live to avoid electrocution.

“Customers are advised to treat all circuits as live during the period as power can be restored without any notice,” read the statement.
