Five out of six plane crash victims named

POLICE have identified five of the six people who died in a plane crash in Mashava.

In a statement, Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said the incident occurred between 7:30am and 8am on 29 September 2023 in the Zvemande area, Mashava.

Their next of kin identified (5) of the victims as Harpla Singh Randhawa (60) of Marowa Diamonds, Mberengwa; Amer Singh Randhawa son of Harpla Singh Randhawa; Goerge Sibanda (51) of Marowa diamonds, Mberengwa; Nikhil Mahadik Milind of Marowa Diamonds, Mberengwa and Reginald Muchemwa (38) who was the pilot.

“They are still investigating with the help from other institutions on the cause of the incident and to identify the sixth victim who was believed to have been a visitor in Zimbabwe,” said Asst Comm Nyathi.
