Flame Lily to brighten up Mutare

THE late Chioniso Maraire-inspired diva, Lean Chikato, fondly known as Flame Lily (Zimbabwe national flower) is in for a litmus test when she performs in Mutare for the first time this weekend.

 

Also known as Outcast, the silky-voiced songstress who is popular for a well-arranged choreography and powerful voice will perform her own songs as well as cover songs.

 

She performs tonight (Friday) and tomorrow.

Chitsa Sports Bar

Popularly known as Mutare Samanyanga, the lanky artiste, who has become popular for performing the late Oliver Mtukudzi’s songs, is back by public demand at the joint situated in Dangamvura suburb.

 

Backed by the Uprising Spirits, the musician will perform on Sunday from 3pm till the last man drops.

 

Local deejays Spillz and Wizzy will take turns to entertain revellers at the watering hole during the whole weekend staring today.

Chirowakamwe Primary

High-riding gospel artiste, Dorcas Moyo will perform at the AFM-organised Dunamis Extra Ordinary Crusade and conference at the school which is situated in Dangamvura on Sunday.

 

The event will be graced by Pastor Kuvheya and Pastor Mukono, among others. Admission is free.

MiCasa

A star-studied line-up of instrumentalists headline the sports bar’s Ma Rasta night every Wednesday before resident deejays Frazer and Terminator take over the turntables tonight (Friday) and tomorrow. Fast rising Afro-jazz diva, WaCharie, will headline the Sunday jazz night.

Acid Bar

The joint, which is home to high-riding team, Acid Pool Club, will see resident deejay DJ Yala, who is popular among music lovers in Chikanga, entertaining the team and its supporters as well as other fun lovers in the ghetto with an assortment of music.

Pamugodo

The tourism and accommodation facility, a preferred leisure joint for imbibers from Rusape and beyond, hosts social soccer teams, the likes of All Stars, in after parties this and other Sunday.

 

Selected deejays will take turns to entertain guests.
