The place is situated just after the Shurugwi-Gweru tollgate on the left side when driving from the Gweru CBD.
Flamingo which runs under the motto “Where the happy people go,” opened in 2012 under new management following their relocation from FSI along the Harare-Gweru highway.

The leisure spot is now famously known as the “Good Hope Stopover”.
Flamingo as an entertainment joint is made up of an open space with a tight security parking lot, main bar, safari lounge and an off-sales bar which gives more room to imbibers to easily access as much beer as they can without the inconvenience of overcrowding in a single bar.

The drive-inn is always stocked with a wide range of cold beverages to cater to everyone’s palate and these comprise both imported and local labels.

Management of the leisure and entertainment joint is driven by the desire to please everyone by catering for every customer’s needs.
Trained and experienced chefs are part of the Flamingo team, constantly seeking new ways to pique their guests’ taste buds. They offer mouth-watering meals and ensure that dietary requirements are met without compromise to health.

Dishes on offer are mainly traditional and comprise sadza and mabhonzo, mazondo, muriwo une dovi, among others.
Flamingo also offers outside catering services at venues of customers’ choice.

Flamingo’s butchery also runs under the Tshisanyama concept with sizzling hot grill, peri-peri chicken, and chakalaka and countrystyle boerwors.
