OVER 700 households in Harare South farm compounds have received a boost after receiving maize meal from Spirit Embassy church.

Area legislator, Cde Tongai Mnangagwa, handed over the maize-meal to beneficiaries.

Cde Mnangagwa has left no stone unturned in ensuring that vulnerable people have access to food and improved healthcare facilities.

“We have targeted compounds because they are informal traders and they were heavily affected by the lockdown so religious leaders came to help us and donated maize-meal.

“Spirit Embassy is promising to supply more foodstuffs to communities in need,” said Cde Mnangagwa.

His mandate was to respond to communities by addressing economic and social vulnerabilities to enable them to cope with present challenges, and plans are at advanced stage to relocate those who were affected by floods in Harare South.

Pastor Paul Nyamaropa of Spirit Embassy said: “We are there to support vulnerable groups of people and our leader Uebert Angel is promising to provide more food to the disadvantaged groups.”

Communities that benefited from the donation in Harare South Constituency include Chitsanga Farm, Edmore Farm, Woodfood Farm and Waterworks Farm.

The beneficiaries expressed gratitude to Cde Mnangagwa and the Spirit Embassy for assisting them.

Mr Biggie Manyumbu from Waterworks Farm said: “We are very grateful to this kind gesture and may God bless Spirit Embassy for bringing relief to those in difficult times.”

A resident of Chitsanga farm, Mr Tudor Musiyarira, said he was excited and urged Cde Mnangagwa to continue working hard and partnering with people who are development oriented.
