THE pressure group made up of the Lifelong Footballers Trust of Zimbabwe and Zimbabwe National Soccer Supporters Association will today hold a meeting with the game’s stakeholders at Raylton Sports Club in the capital.
The meeting is a report back on the indaba held in the capital last month.
The indaba was cleared by the police this week and LFTZ chairman Francis Zimunya said they expected a big turnout of stakeholders.
“The meeting is on from 11am to about 3pm and we have received very good feedback from our stakeholders that they will come to hear what we have to tell them in terms of what we have been doing in the past month,” said Zimunya.
“Our game is in the intensive care unit and we need to save it. We can only do that by putting our heads together to map the way forward.
“Clearly, those who are in charge of ZIFA have failed and it’s said that everything is now being ripped apart; houses are set to be sold and. If we are not careful, we won’t have anything called ZIFA in a few weeks time.
“Creditors are coming from all directions and equipment that was donated by FIFA is being attached and removed for auction and if we can lose such development equipment, what will we be doing as a nation because this equipment should be about developing our game for future generations.
“All these issues are going to be discussed at the feedback indaba because we have covered a lot of ground and we invite anyone, who wants to see our football getting better, to come and make a contribution.”
