FOR BOBBY, IT WAS A JOURNEY BACK IN TIME

Sports Reporter

BOBBY Motaung has had a fairytale romance with Zimbabwean players during his time as one of the leading figures in the Kaizer Chiefs hierarchy.

Top of that list includes Knowledge Musona and Khama Billiat.

Bobby had a reunion, of some sort, with the two Warriors at the weekend when he spent three days in Harare.

He was a guest of league champions Scottland.

On Sunday, he was part of the crowd at the National Sports Stadium where Scottland beat CAPS United 2-0.

Billiat provided the assist for the first goal, which was scored by Musona, and for Bobby, it was like a journey back into time.

Bobby arrived at the stadium wearing a blue Scottland jersey, making it clear where his sympathies were lying.

He wore a broad smile at the end of the match as he exchanged jokes with Scottland president Scott Sakupwanya.

Bobby is a businessman and, although he was at the giant stadium to support the Scotts, he had an eye for talent, even if the player was playing for the Green Machine.

It’s not clear that any player impressed Bobby on Sunday.

Maybe, Panashe Mutimbanyoka, who scored Scottland’s second goal and was a handful with his pace.

  1. Dealing with Bobby this time around is risk taking. Rumours are circling around this man in and around South Africa relating to alleged serious criminal activities. They could be just rumours but anybody should be very careful.
