ZPC KARIBA coach, Rodwell Dhlakama, has admitted his reputation is at stake, as they desperately battle against relegation.
His side have been struggling for form and registering poor results.
They host Dynamos in a league match at Nyamhunga on Saturday.
A few would have imagined that Dhlakama would find himself battling for a Premiership spot at the end of the season.
He had built a ruthless Ngezi Platinum Stars’ team, which was tipped to win the championship after an impressive show in last year’s Chibuku Super Cup.
Dhlakama had a flying start with the Mhondoro-based side, collecting seven points, out of a possible nine, in their first three league matches.
He then parted ways with the ambitious club.
He now finds himself on the flip side of the coin, suffering a serious bout of reputational damage.
With just 10 games remaining before the season ends, ZPC Kariba are a point above the red zone.
They have 23 points, while bottom side WhaWha are on 19.
He said they can’t afford to hold back against any team, considering their precarious position.
“It’s now up to the boys to show how much they want to survive relegation.
“Everyone has to come to the party and play with determination for us to connect the dots.
“I believe we are in a ‘now or never’ situation, and we need a full grip in this fight,” said Dhlakama.
He acknowledged that Dynamos have the capacity to dampen their survival hopes, as they have been grinding results despite not firing from all angles.
“There’s nothing much we can say about them, they have enough depth in their squad and pose a threat to our objective.
“We are not going to hand them maximum points, because we want to boost our survival chances by upsetting them,” he said.
