Pitso weighing up some offers

JOHANNESBURG. Former Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane has confirmed numerous managerial offers on his table as he decides his next move.

Mosimane’s last job was with Egyptian side Al Ahly, which he led to five trophies during his two-year stay in Egypt.

Mosimane parted ways with Al Ahly in June citing the need for a ‘sabbatical’.

But having been away from coaching for two months Pitso has admitted that he misses the touchline and that he has offers on his table.

“We always have offers,” he told journalists.

“The hold back was to take a break. I needed that break. I’ve always spoken about that sabbatical that I never took. Now I got my chance and I feel good and I feel happy to be home.”

Mosimane also gave some insight on the criteria he will use to determine his next move.

“They must be the right project. You just don’t leave a team that you know you’ll go to the Champions League team… and then suddenly you anywhere else. What’s in it for you?

“Yes, offers are there. But it must be the right project. Even national teams, because the only thing I haven’t won is the AFCON, so maybe let’s do AFCON?”

Mosimane was recently honoured by SAFA as the first South African to be awarded the new CAF Pro Licence.

While he’s been linked with clubs in Qatar, Mosimane’s latest qualification will allow him to coach any club in the world.

The tactician has in the meantime turned his attention to the Pitso Mosimane Soccer Schools project to help re-integrate football with schools. – KickOff.com
