FORM 4 STUDENT KILLED BY CLASSMATE IN KNIFE ATTACK

A FORM 4 student was on Monday stabbed to death by his classmate following a dispute in Masvingo.

Anesu Madhara, 18, had a row with Isaac Denhere,19, accusing him of assaulting his younger brother.

The two decided to fight outside the Mazambara High School yard.

During the fight, Isaac drew an okapi knife from his pocket and stabbed Anesu in his abdomen.

Anesu was rushed to Zimuto Clinic, where he died upon admission.

Masvingo provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Kudakwashe Dhewa, confirmed the case and said Isaac was arrested and is expected to appear in court soon.

“Police arrested a student in connection with murder,” said Insp Dhewa. The accused person was reported to have stabbed his fellow classmate with an okapi knife following a scuffle.

“The two had a fight about 25 meters away from the school premises.

“Body of the deceased was taken to Masvingo Provincial Hospital awaiting a postmortem,” said Insp Dhewa.
