FORMER Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation script writer, Clifford Makonese, has ventured into drama series production.

The 40 year-old Clifford, popularly known as Spugah Dhibhura on Radio 2 (now Radio Zimbabwe), wants to educate the masses using drama.

Spugah told H-Metro he has also found comfort in penning gospel songs apart from producing drama series.

“Writing is within my veins,” said Spugah.

“I have produced a drama called ‘Ngapagadziriswe’ and it will be on big and small screens soon.

“Among the actors is Kahembe.

“I have been penning gospel songs and some of them are already on air,” he said.

Some of Spugah’s released albums include Zambuko ndiJesu, Ndatadzeiko Nhaitenzi, Ndaipeiko.

Spugah said he used the criticism, which he used to get from his counterparts, during the days when alcohol was part of his love menu, to write the gospel songs. He said the criticism he received will be part of the message from one of his drama series to be released any time.
