FOUR passengers were injured and four escaped without a scratch when a Nissan Sunny sedan plunged into a ditch along Lyton Road in Harare yesterday.

The driver, Tanatswa Nhau, said he was driving to Rugare, where he lives, when his car brakes failed.

“I tried to avoid hitting other vehicles in front of me by swerving off the road and ramming into a ditch.

“Thank God, there was no passenger train because my car was close to the railway line,” he said.

The injured passengers were rushed to Sally Mugabe Central Hospital.
