Four killed, 10 injured in road accident

FOUR people died while 10 others were injured on Monday when a Nissan Caravan they were travelling in overturned along the Harare-Bulawayo Road.

The accident occurred at the 335km peg and the injured were admitted to Gweru General Hospital.

National police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said the vehicle had 13 passengers on board.

“The ZRP reports a fatal road traffic accident which occurred at the 335-kilometre peg along Harare-Bulawayo Road on December 4, 2023, in which four people died while 10 others were injured when a Nissan Caravan motor vehicle with 13 passengers on board overturned three times before landing on its left side.

“The bodies of the victims were conveyed to United Bulawayo Group of Hospitals mortuary awaiting post-mortem while the injured are admitted at Gweru General Hospital,” he said.
